Cold Storage Rooms

We specialize in custom built units made strictly to your specifications. Sectional walk-ins can be made in various shapes and sizes. Combinations of different rooms can be made including freezers, coolers, retarders, blast freezers and more.

Wall panels may be ordered with white enamel finish on the interior and exterior, stainless steel finish, or a combination of both finishes. The availability of three different panel thicknesses makes these rooms suitable for all uses. Raised and insulated floors are optional with exterior or interior ramps for carts or pallet traffic.

Very careful design of air flow and exact temperature control allows us to store delicate products such as cakes, breads, and pastries for long periods of time without damage due to dehydration or skinning. Products can be stored on racks without packaging or protective covers for up to 10 days or until they are required. These rooms can be built to hold two or more racks.

These practical cold rooms are easy and fast to assemble and also to disassemble in order to move to another location. Cold rooms are suitable for use in Supermarkets, Restaurants, Bakeries, Food Processing Plants, Refrigerated Warehouses, Health Care Facilities, and R&D Rooms, just to name a few.

With a few minor changes, this design is also very suitable as a retarder. European bread making technologies introduced us to the retarding of dough products. While keeping the products at a temperature below the point where the yeast can rise, but not too cold, the yeast cultures are still actively working to improve the flavors in the product.

Warehouse rooms are suitable for fork lift traffic. Products packaged onto pallets are stacked onto pallet racks. All types of doors are available including manual and electric sliding doors. Warehouse rooms are custom built strictly to your specific needs. Oversized panels integrate with the cam-lock fastening technology is crucial to attain effective, sturdy, and durable assembly of the structure.

Our panels meet the NSF (National Sanitary Foundation) standards and comply with HACCP production concepts.(Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points)

When the entire plant is used up by production equipment and more frozen storage space is required, and there is enough property, it makes sense to add an outdoor freezer. These can range in size from small walk-ins used by restaurants to very large warehouses operated with fork lift trucks. In these larger sizes, product is normally stored on pallets then stacked on pallet racking. An example of this is the one in the picture.

Insulated outdoor buildings such as this are also ideal for housing large spiral conveyor freezing systems. When a plant needs to substantially increase their production, and has run out of production space inside, this can be the most economical solution to the problem. See our "Spiral Freezer Page" for information on spiral conveyor freezing systems.

Due to the requirement of various sub trades, we can offer building the larger outdoor enclosures only in the southern Ontario region.
